While I know I am not actually “obsessive-compulsive” from a clinical standpoint, I have definitely battled tendencies toward the disorder all my life. Some “symptoms” I’ve outgrown; some are just less controlling as they once were. But the topic of “OCD” has jokingly (kind of) come up lately between Brian and me because of Clara’s near obsession and compulsion with washing her hands. (Quick side note: None of my OCD tendencies are related to cleaning.) Perhaps it is just a “phase” Clara is going through, but it’s hard to discourage something as “good” as cleaning hands. It’s just that she melts down if she can’t keep washing them, and she wants to do it constantly.
Gotta love those teeny lil’ hands though.
